SOME DIGITAL GOODS
I have mentioned very useful digital security tools and services in this blogpost: Personal Data Security for Citizens of 3rd World Countries
And I want to add more of them, some of my new discoveries.
Systemli: A German based safe and trustworthy communication services provider, specially for left-wing political activists and people who have a particular need to protect their data. And also they’re so politic. You can use Systemli Cloud, E-Mail and Web Hosting (and many more) services safely. And my favourite is end-to-end encrypted messenger service named Matrix. It’s a perfect alternative to Wickr.me, Signal or Session.
Briar: One of my favourites: A peer-to-peer encrypted messaging application. Messages are stored securely on your device, not in the cloud and most important and special feature of it; you can connect directly with nearby contacts via Bluetooth, no internet access required. It’s a fatal requirement under internet censorship. For now only for Androids.
Other two German based security-first e-mail service providers are Mailbox.org and Posteo. Both of them working with green energy, cares anonimity and cheap.
And a VPN service suggestion: Mullvad VPN. They’re German based (we love Germans about security things) and Sweden located company. They doesn’t ask for any personal information, not even your e-mail, and encourages anonymous payments with cash or cryptocurrency. This is so good. And ofcourse they have no logging policy.
